Our Story

We often say, “We’re not just a title company” around the office. While that’s 100 percent true, it’s a bit unfair because Fortune Title Agency also aims to be the best title company anywhere in New Jersey and beyond, and that’s not just empty talk either.

The Fortune Title team is a principled group driven by a set of core values that guide what we do for our customers and those around us every day. We all take pride in doing what it takes to deliver for those who rely on us, and we’re always pushing to build on our success and add to our experience and expertise in the real estate title world. 

Fortune Title was established in 2000 – but our roots run much deeper than that. Our CEO, Nicole Timpanaro, is a third-generation title professional, and she’s spent years honing her craft and sharing her knowledge on the local, state and national stages. 

As an active member of the American Land Title Association (ALTA), Nicole has also helped shape the land title industry as a whole and has raised the Fortune Title profile in our markets and beyond. Thanks to her involvement – and the drive and determination of our entire team – Fortune Title can truly claim its spot on the cutting edge when it comes to technology, tricks and trends that will help propel our team and our customers into the future.

But first, it’s important that we recognize our past. After all, we’re a real estate company, and all of us know how important a strong foundation is to success. We like to say Fortune Title Agency was a family business before it was a business at all. Founder Nick Timpanaro got his start in this industry by learning from his mother-in-law in 1980. After two decades— and much success— Nick founded Fortune Title.

When Nicole came on board in 2008, it was only supposed to be a temporary deal, but the father-daughter team soon became a true dynamic duo. Though Nick’s expertise lies in the foreclosure sphere, we’ve always been a full-service title company equally dedicated to offering superior residential and commercial title and closing services as well. While Nick is still involved in a lot here at Fortune Title, he’s since taken a step back. 

Today, Nicole is joined on the company leadership team by Raymond Curnew, Jr. and Amanda Simoni. This trio – backed by the power of an entire team of wonderful colleagues, multiple underwriting partners, and some of the best tools on the market – is poised to write the next chapter of success for Fortune Title, our customers and the communities we call home.
